The DWM Canned Food Drive is a spring campaign that started in 2013 as a friendly competition between employees. We collect hundreds of pounds of food to be distributed to families in the community. The Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano County has been the recipient for the past three years.
The Food Bank is a centralized warehouse that stores and distributes donated and purchased perishable and nonperishable food items. They distribute food directly to low-income individuals and families at community sites and make food available for other nonprofit organizations serving the ill, needy and infants.
The Food Bank works to reduce food waste feed hungry people and raise public awareness of issues related to food and hunger.
